Gurgaon: The collapse of several floors in Chintels Paradiso has triggered fear of other housing residents and calls for building structural audits.
Many people in the new sectors said they had submitted several complaints about the quality of construction in the tower and the pieces and their plaster fell from the ceiling.
The Paradiso developer said the second structural audit of the project would be carried out by one of the IITs and residents affected by compensation.
Paradiso structural audit was carried out last year after complaints by residents about the quality of construction.
Sanket Banerjee, a resident of Paradiso, has started a petition at Change.org for inspections of all flats by third parties.
The District Planner District (Enforcement) Batth Hospital said the project structural audit was ordered after complaints about construction.
“After registered complaints, the Town and State Department enforcement team plans to visit the projects to take stock situations.
If it is seriously found, structural audit is ordered.
Based on the report, the developer is directed to start repairs within the time,” he added.
But is this structural audit discussing concerns about security? Most of the population is different.
There are many complaints about the quality of construction, but improvements made after the DTCP command only Eyewash, a suspected resident.
For example, developers have been directed at starting improvements to the project in sector 58 on the road to the extension of the golf course after complaints from residents.
In other housing societies in sector 109, the portion of the 12th floor balcony has fallen.
“We also complained about plaster falling from the ceiling and walls.
But the authorities almost did not take any action,” said a resident.
In other housing communities in sector 102, residents have demanded a structural and forensic audit of the community, quoting poor construction, and maintenance, electrical and security issues.
The population even filed a complaint between the portal of the minister’s chairman against the developer.
But things are hardly moving.
Head of H-Rera KK Khandelwal cannot be contacted for comments about complaints received by Realty Regulators regarding structural audits.
