Kolkata: MP Burdwan East Sunil Mondal on Monday triggered speculation ‘Ghar-wapsi’ after he called the leader Trinamool congress beat Roy in New Delhi.
Trinamool sources show that the possibility of returning Mondal has received ahead of party leadership.
Incidentally, Mondal had to reply on July 30 for the notification of Lok Sabha after Trinamool MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay urged the speaker Om Birla to begin the defeating process against him.
Party sources show that he can return to Trinamool before the deadline on Friday.
According to sources, Mondal has sent the advantage of ‘Ghar-Wapsi’ since he told the media in mid-June that defectors did not have a “party leader trust” at BJP and he did not feel very comfortable there.
He has joined BJP in December 2020 ahead of Bengal’s poll.
Mondal didn’t talk much about his interaction with Roy on Monday night.
“I have heard about the personal kingdom of Mombang Roy.
I can’t meet him before and express my condolences.
I heard he was in Delhi.
So, I met him,” MP said.
Roy also lips tightly on the possibility of returning to mondal.
“He came to meet me,” Roy said without describing.
MLA blocks forward later, Mondal joined Trinamool before the polls of Lok Sabha 2014.
He is MP Trinamool twice from East Burdwan.
“Among the 22 parliamentarians, both Sishir Adhikari and Dibyeng Adhikari face defession complaints.
Mondal is the third, but he is likely to be back soon,” said a Trinamool leader.
