Ahmedabad: Some Versatile Health Officers whose contract with the AMC Covid Action Group has been stopped is collected outside the Ghatlodia Municipal Health Center for protests sitting on Tuesday.
The protest is symbolic when the health center is under the constituency of the minister’s chairman.
Workers collect slogans and protest them on how their services are stopped by AMC.
About 35 health workers were detained by Ghatlodia police.
“We are efficiently praised for becoming a soldier Corona and the flowers washed from the helicopter,” said Jagdish Shah, a health worker who was part of the protest group.
“All that is a joke.
The trust is damaged.” He said there was now an emergency of other health and advertisements placed for health workers.
“But how much will risk their lives for the 11-month employment opportunity given by the government who cruelly plays with health worker trust,” he said.
Shah added, “Versatile Health Officers must be employed for empty posts”.
Until now 1,400 positions for empty health workers at AMC.
