Data from cyber police cells rose showed that while Ghaziabad had reported maximum complaints – 7,644 (15.36%) – GB Nagar came second at 7,633 (15.33%), followed by Lucknow at 5,600 (11.6%).
A total of 2,719 complaints have been reported from Kanpur (5.5%), 1,900 of Prayagraj (3.8%), 1,700 of Varanasi (3.4%) and 1,400 of Meerut (2.8%).
Lucknow SP (Cybercrime) Trivedi Singh told TOI that a similar trend was witnessed in complaints received on the National Helpline to report cyber crimes and financial fraud, 155260.
“Since 155260 Helpline made operations recently, more than 4,000 calls have been received from Over.
Maximum complaints come from Ghaziabad, followed by Gautam Budh Nagar, “he said.

Other districts have largely reported cases of financial fraud.
