Ghaziabad, Noida accounts for more than 30% of Cybercrime above

Noida / Ghaziabad: Of every 100 Cybercrime complaints from the country, at least 15 comes from Ghaziabad and 15 others from Gautam Budh Nagar, according to the Cyber ​​National Reporting Portal (NCCRP).

A total of 2,719 complaints have been reported from Kanpur (5.5%), 1,900 of Prayagraj (3.8%), 1,700 of Varanasi (3.4%) and 1,400 of Meerut (2.8%).
Lucknow SP (Cybercrime) Trivedi Singh told TOI that a similar trend was witnessed in complaints received on the National Helpline to report cyber crimes and financial fraud, 155260.
“Since 155260 Helpline made operations recently, more than 4,000 calls have been received from Over.
Maximum complaints come from Ghaziabad, followed by Gautam Budh Nagar, “he said.

Most complaints from Ghaziabad and GB Nagar are social media fraud.

Other districts have largely reported cases of financial fraud.
Call Helpline immediately if cheated: a person’s police have suffered financial losses because of fraud, he must immediately call Helpline 155260 and report this problem so that the money can be restored, police said.

The system, which has been developed by the Center to integrate law enforcement agencies, banks, wallets and other financial intermediaries, allows each country to share certain complaints and tell banks, wallets and related online traders.
The complainant can also contact the CyberCrime help desk by pressing 112, police said.
“After calling 112, they could tell the police about the crime.
The call will be transferred to the help desk at the Cyber ​​Cell headquarters in Lucknow.
Dedicated officers have been deployed to answer such calls,” SP Singh said.
