Noida: The number of Covid cases continues to decline in Noida and Ghaziabad.
While Noida reported 124 new cases, Ghaziabad reported 110.
There was one death associated with Covid in Ghaziabad on Sunday – the third so far this month.
A 88-year-old man from Nehru Nagar, who was treated at Santosh Hospital on January 22 with complaints of distress, died after testing positive during treatment.
The doctor said he had heart disease, chronic kidney disease, hypertension and diabetes.
In Ghaziabad, 31 people were sent home from the hospital while 817 patients were still recovering at home.
At 915, the number of active cases fell below 1,000 marks for the first time in more than a month.
A total of 6,500 samples were collected in Ghaziabad on Sunday, where the level of participation fell to 1.7% from 2.2% the previous day.
Since February 1, Ghaziabad reported 776 cases while GB Nagar had seen 1,512.
At GB Nagar, 459 people recovered in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases also dropped to 1,623.
Health officials said because both Noida and Ghaziabad have reported deaths related to Covid, those who have comorbidities are advised to pay attention and resolve the dose of their vaccination.
Senior citizens were also urged to take prevention doses, they said.
While GB Nagar only vaccinated 1,309 people on Sunday, Ghaziabad gave 12,253 doses.
So far, GB Nagar has provided 36,556 a photo shoot for caution to people while Ghaziabad has stabbed 45,625 people with a dose of booster.
