Ghaziabad / Noida: Ghaziabad on Monday reported four cases of dengue fever and a case of malaria, taking the calculation of cases of dengue fever in the district to 27 and malaria to nine.
After from nine cases from other districts, most of the dengue fever patients came from urban areas such as Kavi Nagar, Raj Nagar and Indirapuram and Nehru Nagar, among others.
However, officials expressed suspicion that patients might contract infection from their workplace as dengue mosquitoes biting during the day.
They add that work details and patient history will also be taken to the account.
Ghaziabad officials said that nine patients from outside the district cover three of Gautam Budh Nagar, and others came from Ferozabad and other districts.
However, GB Nagar has not confirmed the case of dengue fever.
Private clinics and hospitals despite claiming that cases have come up with symptoms like dengue fever.
The source of at least three private hospitals confirmed that they had seen cases of dengue fever in Noida.
“Viral fever has increased and every patient we see has fever, cough and cold.
However, now we also see Dengue cases that have begun to come in the past week,” said a doctor from a private hospital in Noida.
Noida Health Officials said that with improving sanitation among people due to covid awareness, cases of dengue fever have not come since last year.
The Ministry of Health has also written to all private hospitals to send samples for cross verification.
Meanwhile, public health centers in Ghaziabad rural areas conduct surveys in high-risk areas and collect samples for dengue fever and malaria.
Health officials posted at CHCS told TOI that the number of patients suffering from viral fever had risen in the past few days.
“We see around 30 patients such as 150 patients who visit the OPD every day.
Lab technicians and Lab assistants have been directed to collect samples, while Asha workers will be at high risk of identifying people who suffer from fever,” Dr.
Neeraj Kumar, Incharge Medical Officer from BHOJPUR PHC.
He added that the anti-larval chemicals have been given to vulnerable and spraying areas will be carried out with the help of the Malaria Department.
Similar standard operating procedures are being used by other rural medical facilities.
Remembering dengue fever, malaria and virus fever spread in the district, the Ministry of Health has reserved beds for fever patients in CHC and PHCs, in addition to two government hospitals.
