Thane: The flow of traffic on the Ghodunder Artery highway outside the city of Thane was affected for one hour on Wednesday morning, after a truck turned upside down to the oil spill on stretching blocking the movement of other vehicles, officials said.
Santosh Kadam, head in the regional disaster management cell told that the truck to Thane lost control near Gaimukh Octroi Naka on the outskirts of the city and crashed into the road divider before it was reversed.
The impact broke the oil tank which leads to its contents that spilled on the road that caused an obstacle to the movement of other vehicles at the end of the road.
The traffic on the two paths was affected for almost an hour after which officials rushed to the place and sprayed the mud in the place of making motor stretches after the traffic movement again, said Kadam.
