GIALT To Invest Rs 500CR for Metro Connectivity at the Airport

Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (Ghial), which owns and operates Hyderabad Airport, is set to invest more than Rs 500 Crore to Metro Connectivity at the airport.
In accordance with the company, the Telangana Government has been seeking financial contributions from Ghial for Metro projects.
Considering the importance of providing metro rail connectivity for passengers, the GIAL council has recommended that it provide support up to 10% of project costs.
The cost of the Metro Line project will be around RS 5000 Crore and the Company will invest RS 519.52 Crore in the project, according to the application of reports for the determination of aeronautic rates for the third control period (1.121 to April 31, 2026) ‘submitted to the Airport Economic Supervisory Authority (Aera).
The state government has formed a special purpose vehicle, Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML) which will be responsible for the development, construction, operation and management of the airport metal link which is expected to reach around 31 km, the report said.
The plan imagined the development of alignment of 8 km together by establishing three metro stations in the RGIA building, he added.
GIALL also invests RS 300 Crore against the increase in airfield pavement and RS 75 Crore on an increase in lighting field lighting.
The company has contracted and work in full swing to solve the same thing while the air traffic movement is contained because of Covid and say it expects to solve it in the next 10 months, according to the report.
