Google search giant Google has launched support for sending GIF on Google Chat on the web.
This feature is available for all Google Workspace customers, as well as basic customers and business suites.
For this, Google has been integrated with tenor for this.
With this feature, users will be able to search and send GIF on Google Chat on the web.
Users will be able to see the new “GIF” icon, which will bring up the expanded window to explore GIF.
Here, users can find gif through searches or by filtering popular categories such as “trending”.
Especially for admin, new settings to control the use of this GIF integration in their organization have been activated.
Admin can activate or deactivate this GIF integration in the Admin console by going to the application> Google Workspace> Settings for Google Chat> GIF.
This integration is activated by default for all customers.
When will this feature be activated? Google says that the admin will see this setting starting September 1, 2021, which allows one week to configure the settings before the final user experience starts to multiply.
After the feature is activated by the admin, the user will be able to find and insert GIF by selecting the “GIF” icon in the Google Chat Compose bar.
To remember, it was revealed that the ‘forced transition’ by Google from Hangouts to Google Chats has not been well received by many users because the application ranking has fallen.
The transition is almost complete for business users and the company has pushed the personal account holder to switch to Google Chat.
In the review in the Play Store, users have shown that Google Chat does not have customization options, does not support SMS and stickers, that it does not have a special browser gallery to install the media.
