Girl Dead After Swallowing 1-Rupee Coins in Mysore

MySuru: A four-year-old girl from Hunsur Village died after swallowing a coin one rupee.
The girl died three days after the coin was trapped in the trachea followed by an infection, in a hospital in Mysuru.
The girl’s uncle had given him a coin to buy a balloon on Friday.
He played with coins, looked for his mouth.
Accidentally, he swallowed it and he did not tell anyone in the family.
The incident occurred when he was at his grandmother’s house.
A day later, he developed respiratory problems and family knowing that something was trapped in the throat.
The doctor found that it was a coin after the girl told them at the hospital.
However, it led to infection and he died in the hospital.
Hunsur police said they had not received complaints in this matter.
