Ranchi: A girl was suspected of gangraped by seven boys in the Jharkhand Ranchi district, police said on Sunday.
Four defendants had been arrested and a hunt was launched to arrest others, an officer said.
The incident took place on August 26 when one of the accused, the acquaintance of the survivors, took him out to ride his motorcycle and went to an isolated place in the Mandar police station where six of his friends were waiting for, officers.

When he saw another boy, the girl tried to escape but was controlled and gangraped, said the officer.
The girl’s acquaintance then dropped her home, followed what she knew her family member about the incident, who then filed a police complaint the next day, he said.
All those accused of originating from the Mandar and four of them were arrested on Saturday and forwarded to the teenage house after being ordered under the Indian criminal code and ACT officers, said the officer.
