Girls are forced to dip the hands in boiling oil; 1 owned

Ahmedabad: A woman in District Patan Gujarat allegedly forced her 11-year-old neighbor to put her hand with boiling oil to prove that she did not lie, police said on Thursday.
The police on Thursday arrested the defendant, Lakhi Makwana (40), in connection with the alleged incident that occurred in the city of Patan Santalpur on Wednesday, an official said.
The Gujarat State Commission for the protection of the Chairperson of the Children’s Kagrutiben Pandya has requested a district collector to investigate the incident and submit a report.
In a video shot after the incident and circulating on social media by one of the girl’s neighbors, the victim, who suffered burns in the palm of his right hand, was seen crying and telling his trials.
Talking with reporters here on Thursday, said Pandya, “I have been told that Patan police have registered a case in this matter.
I have instructed our district child protection officer to visit the victim’s residence and examine the care given to him.
I also asked for a collector To send a report after conducting an investigation from it.
“Based on the complaint submitted by the girl’s father, the defendant was arrested and a registered case against him on charges of criminal assault and intimidation, the Santalpur police station sub-inspector and Parmar said.
He said the investigation had revealed that the woman and the victim’s family were neighbors, and about 10 days ago, the girl saw the defendant talking to an unknown man outside his home.
“On Wednesday morning, when the girl’s parents were not at home, the defendant asked the girl if she told someone else about her conversation with the man.
Even though the girl denied the defendant took her into her house and asked her to dip it.

When the girl tried to escape, the defendant was allegedly threatening to kill him and forcibly put his right palm in a pan containing boiling oil, he said.
“Other neighbors rushed the girl to the hospital when her parents went to work.

The woman accused, who fled after the incident, was finally arrested,” the official added.
