City: Blood-covered body of a girl with a fatal injury on his neck and his head recovered from the forest in the Bundi district, police said on Friday.
Two people, including minors, have been arrested, Bundi’s supervisor from Police Jai Yadav told PTI.
He said the involvement of the third defendant could not be ruled out.
The 15-year-old girl, with two friends, had taken their goats to graze on Thursday afternoon.
On their return at night, the two girls told the victim’s parents that he had stopped among them to alleviate himself.
However, because he didn’t return long, they moved forward.
The girl and relatives of the girl then launched a search, only to find her naked body, police said.
Prima Facie, it seems that the girl was raped and then killed, said a police officer.
Both of the defendants have been ordered based on section 302 (murder), 201 (causing loss of violations) and 376 (rape) of the KUHAP and the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso), the officer said.
The girl’s body was handed over to family members after postmortem, he said.
