BHubaneswar: The Ministry of Higher Education has issued consultations for the college level and teacher education institutions (TEI) to distance themselves from beautifying institutions only to impress the National Assessment Team and the Visiting Accreditation Board (NAAC).
College and Teis Principal has requested permission from the department to spend money to beautify their campus campus ahead of the visit to the upcoming UGC / NAAC team.
A recent college proposes to take special cleaning drives, install Pits Vermi-Compos, beautify the walls of college with tribal paintings and increase the plantation plantations before the NAAC team visit.
However, the department does not like this idea.
Secretary of the Department of Sasswat Mishra, in an advisor, said, “If the college’s academic performance is unsatisfactory, it cannot impress the UGC / NAAC team with all peripheral activities such as compost holes, garden medicinal plants, wall paintings, landscaping and wall paintings.
That It would be a case like a style without substance.
Therefore, these peripheral activities should not be carried out by colleges anywhere just to impress the UGC / NAAC team.
“He said the team members were careful and experienced to see through the campus game plan.
“Such activities must be done only if they are truly requested by college to improve their academic performance or for the beauty of the campus campus,” he added.
