Nagpur: Food and Narcotics Administration (FDA), Nagpur, has urged pharmacists to collect customer details from the antigen home test kit for Covid and hand them over to local health authorities.
Even though the FDA, follow the state guidelines, is trying to regulate the sale of the do-it-yourself kit from the pharmacy, the online portal will continue to sell these items at this time.
The pharmacy owner, through a letter on January 13 was written by the Commissioner with Viraj Paunikar, has also been asked to create awareness among customers to deliver a message to the Ministry of Health if a positive patient test.
Then it has published experts from the medical field, including concerns over selling and use of the home test kit in the past “even if sales from pharmaceutical outlets are controlled and regulated, online portals will continue to supply the test kit at the door without checks,” he said.
Commissioner Paunikar said there was an examination of producers because sales set in the form of the latest guidelines and sales test kits would be controlled mostly.
