Hyderabad: Former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir from Congress on Monday demanded that the central and state government provide full freedom to farmers to decide on the various plants they want to develop.
Overcoming the meeting ‘Dalita Girjana Atma Gaurav Dandora’ in Machameddy from Kamereddy District, Shabbir Ali condemned the Chair of the K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Minister for asking farmers not to take rice cultivation in a large area.
He accused the warning by cm to farmers not based on scientific data or market research.
He tried to remind CM that he was proud to announce that Telangana was known for the highest rice yield, while giving his independence address.
“Now, KCR is a warning farmer so as not to grow it while blaming the non-procurement center of rice.
Farmers must be given the freedom to decide on the harvest of those who will take their advantage.
They should not be forced to practice regulatory agriculture in any circumstances,” Shabbir Ali’s demands .
