‘Give Jab to Priority to Children with obesity, Malnutrition’

Pune: The Task Force of the Negeri Children suggested Covid-19 priority vaccination of children with obesity, malnutrition, adolescent diabetes and nine other medical conditions in their recommendations submitted to the Maharashtra government recently.
The task force consisting of a leading pediatric specialist explains that vaccination is not mandatory to attend school.
They urged parents to send children to school and not too delayed / delayed the attendance of the school for Covid vaccination.
Two Covid Vaccines – Zycov-D and Covaxin – intended for children’s immunization in the 2-18-year-old bracket will likely be introduced together under the country’s Covid immunization program in December.
This center will also publish guidelines on vaccing to high-risk children.
“The Union Government will prioritize Covid-19 vaccinations for children with existing diseases.
For this, we have chosen 12 underlying medical conditions.
We have recommended the state government to prioritize these commorbidation children because Covid’s shot will not be Available for healthy children at first, “said a senior member of the Pramod JOG duty level doctor.
“The task force has made a recommendation after studying children’s data in Maharashtra which developed serious Covid disease during the second wave.
The recommendations are expected to help the state government prioritize Covid vaccination among adolescents at high risk of the state ahead of the national launch of Zycov-D and Covaxin, “Jog said.
The Zycov-D vaccine is a three-dose needle, produced by Zydus Cadila based in Ahmedabad, is the first vaccine in the country to get an emergency use authorization (EUA) to be managed for children aged 12 years and over.
Covaxin gets EUA for children in the bracket aged 2-18 years.
Sanjay Patil, Chairman of the Indian Medical Medical Association Hospital in India, said, “Covid vaccine will not be available for healthy children at first.
Therefore, we appeal to parents to send children to school.
The benefits of sending children to school far exceeds the various risks involved in not sending.
