Pune: Deputy Minister of Chief Ajit Pawar on Saturday instructed the district administration to begin adolescent vaccinations in the 15-17 year age group in Punpri and Pimpri Chinchwad limit Civic in their school.
He said student vaccination has so far received a good response in regency rural areas and the same thing must be a target in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area and the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area, where adequate vaccine stocks are available.
“Beneficiaries can be called to schools for vaccination,” he said.
Ajit Pawar says medical stores will be asked to collect contact numbers and their names to buy a Mandiri Covid-19 testing kit and forward information to local civil authorities.
This will help identify positive cases, he told reporters after meeting the Covid District Review.
Guardian District Minister said the existing restrictions will continue and the reviews will be done next week.
“The count of positive patients rises in this district against the last week, but the Ministry of Health officials observed that oxygen and ventilator requirements were still lacking.
The discussion was held at a meeting to restart the Jumbo Covid unit in PMC, PCMC and rural areas according to the requirements,” said the pawar , adding that the weekly peposititivity level in the district has reached 17%.
He said residents must continue to wear masks and strictly follow the appropriate behavior of Covid.
He told the administrative authority to accelerate vaccination, in addition to continuing actions against those who gave birth to Covid norms.
“Commuter problems that do not wear masks on the PMPML bus are submitted during meetings.
We have instructed the authorities concerned to ensure that the norms are strictly followed,” said the pawar.
