RANCHI: The Jharkhand High Court on Thursday ordered the Ranchi senior superintendent of police to guarantee sufficient safety for the loved ones of Rupa Tirkey, former Sahebgunj Mahila Thana officer in-charge who murdered herself .
Justice S K Diwedi gave the order while hearing a criminal writ petition filed by Rupa’s daddy Devanand Tirkey.
Rupa was discovered hanging from her official quarters May 3.
While the authorities in its evaluation have concluded that her departure was the event of suicide, her dad and her relatives have stated that she had been killed by some bigshots from the bureaucracy.
Devanand, in his own request, has increased doubts about police’s”perfunctory” analysis into his son’s departure.
He’s also accused leader minister Hemant Soren’s representative Pankaj Mishra of becoming included in Rupa’s departure.
The request also expects a probe to the assets obtained by Mishra which supposedly have been disproportionate to his income.
Besides submitting a criminal writ petition, Devanand has also fulfilled the CM to require a CBI probe to his daughter’s departure.
The authorities counsel advised the court that a question committee was constituted to look into the situation.
The committee has been led by a former justice of the high court.
The seat was, but not happy and made a oral monitoring that there isn’t any supply of a committee overseeing the investigation done by law enforcement.
The state administration was directed to submit a counter affidavit about the issue that’ll be heard on July 29.
