Panaji: Bombay High Court in Goa on Tuesday asked Chicalim Panchayat to submit a detailed structural details without permission from the Planning and Development Authority (MPDA) during the next hearing relating to the construction in the cave international airport channel zone.
Advocate Zeller D’Souza, which appears for Panchayat, states that the survey has been running and will be completed within two weeks.
“We further clarified that the details must include a structure that might be permitted by Panchayat but not by MPDA, too,” said the division bench consisting of Hakeses Mahesh Sonak and M Jawalkar.
“The time given to the flag officer to apply Affidavit is also extended until the next date,” the next court was stated.
“We direct Sarpanch or Panchayat Village Secretary to submit a detailed written statement about this aspect giving specifically, on or before the next date without fail,” said the High Court.
This problem is now posted for further consideration on October 25.
In February 2020, the High Court directed the Navy and Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to start actions against illegal construction around nine months.
Apart from the direction, no action taken and at the previous trial, the High Court said that it would “consider whether there was an action under the insults of the court needed”.
