In a statement, Senator PPP Raza Rabbani said it was a matter of concern that the government or the state required individuals to act as the guarantor of such an agreement.
“When someone acts as a guarantor between the government and citizens, it illustrates that the government has lost his high moral reason and people’s trust,” Rabbani said like that.
In a separate statement, PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said the government must notify the parliament and the nation about the agreement signed in the darkness of the night.
“These citizens have the right to find out what has been agreed with forbidden organizations that paralyzed the country, disrupting everyday life and business for 12 days and martyred innocent police,” he added.
Likewise, Senator PPP Sherry Rehman in his statement said the actions of maintaining a secret agreement had created many questions in the minds of the Pakistani people.
He asked what was in the agreement that the government wanted to express “at the right time”.
