Letter: The export promotion board of Permata & Jewelry (GJEPC) has proposed the establishment of a mechanism for direct supply of rough diamonds by the leading mining company Alrosa whose delegation visits City letter and the International Diastade Center (SIDC) letter, recently.
In a statement to the media, GJEC said it had proposed the formation of a mechanism for direct supply of rough natural diamonds by Alrosa, especially for micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India.
Estimating this year’s stable growth, Alrosa anticipated the 31.5 million carat diamond output with the opportunity to increase to 33 million carats.
On the topic of the Diamond Lab-grown, Alrosa reaffirmed that it will continue to focus on the natural diamond segment of the business and that he has no intention of entering the synthetic gem segment.
“The direct source of rough diamonds will help our MSME sector in a large way.
We have discussed possible collaboration methods with Alrosa, and will immediately propose a plan so that our MSME sector will secure direct access to rough from world leaders in diamond mining,” said Colin Shah, GJEC.
“From the perspective of Alrosa, India remains the most important center for diamond manufacturing, and is also the third largest diamond jewelry consumer.
I am sure that today’s discussion will further strengthen Indo-Russian cooperation in diamonds and profitable natural diamond pipes in general,” said Evgeny Aguryev, Deputy CEO of Alrosa.
