New Delhi: The wrong income tax portal has forced the government to extend the deadline for more than a dozen.
Form 15g and 15h, submitted by individuals to ensure that banks do not reduce taxes on sources (TDS) on interest income for those who are not required to pay taxes, also in the list where the deadline has been extended.
The announcement came on Sunday, almost one week after Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman and his official team from the tax department met Infosys CEO Salil Parekh and set the September deadline to remove the disruption that was launched in early June.
Although some individuals have complained about difficulties in archiving, including non-receiving the intimacy of the tax portal, the government has so far not extended the time limit of archiving with officials, on the grounds that this has not been hit in connection with getting some forms.
Among the problems that have been sought to be handled is the deadline for submitting the Form 10A and 10AB, which is due on June 30 – now extended until March 31, 2022, which will provide marriage to defense or approval.
