New Delhi: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said on Friday in Moscow that international travel must be based on testing and not vaccination.
After a meeting with his colleague Sergey Lavrov, he said, “If the people were tested before traveling and tested on arrival, it was a pretty good base for the trip”.
“But some countries have now introduced vaccination problems.
So we have to achieve understanding,” he added.
India previously asked UE member countries individually consider expanding similar liberation to people who had taken the Covid-19 vaccine in India I.e.
Covishield and Covaxin, and receive vaccination certificates released through the Cowin portal.
Jaisankar also thanked Russia for support and assistance when India fought against the deadly second wave in April and May this year.
“India has become a Russian partner in the production and use of Sputnik V vaccines and we believe that this is not only good for both of us but has positive implications for the whole world,” Jaishankar said.
