Guwahati: Guwahati Municipal Corporation will increase the ward under his jurisdiction from 31 to 60 by conducting a process of restrictions before the election of the GMC and other city councils in the state.
The election will be held in February.
However, they can be postponed by one month if the Covid-19 situation in the state does not improve.
The Civic Agency on Friday published a draft for restrictions on ward 31 to 60 and asked for occupants of claims and objections, if every time, on January 19.
After the draft is approved, there will be 60 members of the neighborhood council in the area under the jurisdiction of GMC and no regional members.
Commissioner GMC Devasish Sharma said, “Environmental improvement has been made for administrative convenience.

“He said restrictions on ward was also carried out on the basis of geographical adjacent areas and permanent structure like a temple.
