GMDA is likely to look for funds from builders for SPR jobs

Gurgaon: In the plan to increase the South Peripheral Road – between the T Point and NH48 Golf Course – Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) wants to involve developers who have their 12km project.
Plans Revamp, in the most recent forms before authority, involves the construction of flyovers in five critical points throughout the extension of the golf path from stretches, between Ghata T Point and Vatika Chowk, along with roads, sidewalks, waterways, friendly paths Disabled, cycle tracks and green areas.

At the meeting, officials said Khattar directed them to explore the possibility of getting contributions from developers whose projects were throughout the update work.
They say revamp work will benefit them by ABIG.
He has directed authority officials to explore the possibility of imposing “reasonable costs” to developers to generate funds for the project.
“The City and State Planning Department will hold a meeting to discuss this problem with developers and builders, and take their commitment to their contributions,” said a senior GMDA official who did not want to be named.
SPR has several large housing, office, and commercial complex communities, owned by builders and major developers.
