Greater Noida: The authority of the development of the Great Noida Industry (Gnida) has decided to develop eight new industrial sectors at 900 hectares that will be obtained directly from the villagers.
Officials said almost half the land had been purchased.
The online review meeting was held on Sunday among land record officials, industry and other departments, when Gnida CEO directed officials to establish camps in villages so that the process of acquiring land can be accelerated.
Eight industrial sectors will appear in Ecotech 7, 8, 9, 12A, 16, 19, 19, and 21 sectors.
Some villages where land is built including Pauvari, Imalmaka, or Muradpur, Luxar, Ladpura, and Sire.
“Over the past few years, the industry has shown sufficient interest in investing in Greater Noida.
This can be measured from the fact that 46 plots, ranging from 1,000 sqmt and 20 hectares, given this year despite a pandemic.
This will generate income around Rs 268 Crore for Authority.
Investment worth Rs 2,000 Crore and job opportunities for around 8,200 people will be produced from this ration, “said Narendra Bhoooshan, CEO of Gnida.
According to Bhooshan, a company based in foreign countries also wants to get land in the region.
“We make provisions for land to companies according to their requests to the villagers taken.
Lately, several electronic companies based in South Korea and China have shown interest in establishing industries in Greater Noida.
After LG and Samsung, two other Korean companies – Dreamtech India Pvt Ltd and Starion India Pvt Ltd – have bought 40 hectares among them at Ecotech 10 to prepare plants.
They tend to invest around Rs 433 Crore and produce jobs for more than 3,500 youth.
Previously, five Korean companies, most cellphone manufacturers and accessories, have bought 87 hectares in Greater Noida, promised to invest more than Rs 1,150 Crore and create employment opportunities for more than 8,700 people.
One reason for industries that show interest in this region is the policy of making Gnida land within 30 days of the application, officials said.
