Panaji: Goa reported 83 new Covid-19 infections, two deaths and 59 recovery on Thursday pushing the calculation of active cases to slightly more than 900.
Of the 23 samples sent for genome sequencing, 19 had been positively tested for Delta Strains.
So far, from more than 200 samples tested for mutant tensions, the majority found to have delta tensions that cause the second wave.
Over the past few months, the Directorate of Health Services has routinely sent samples to the sequencing of the genome to the Outstation Laboratory because these facilities are not available locally.
Meanwhile, the first level of case of the country fell to 1.3% with 6,220 samples tested on Thursday.
Tolls reached 3,181 with two deaths – a 32-year-old child from the Mopa and 46-year-old who had comorbidities died at GMC.
The 32-year-old child has Down syndrome and died in 24 hours hospitalized.
On Thursday, 13 people were hospitalized and 10 were sent home.
