Panaji: More than 3 lakh people are now full of vaccinations in the state.
The Directorate of Health Services provided a second dose to 4,170 people on Monday, pushing a fully vaccinated amount to 25.2% of the adult population.
The State Immunization Officer Dr Rajendra Borkar told toi that the number of vaccinations was “satisfying” but could be better.
“There are a number of positive tested for Covid-19 in the second wave but haven’t finished 84 days,” he said.
More than ten people – 89.8% of the cave population that qualified 11.9 lakh – had taken at least one dose of vaccines, while 64.7% were partially vaccinated.
“We want to vaccinate the entire population as soon as possible.
We hope to complete the second dose administration in December,” he said.
The Ministry of Health has not received communication about vaccination for foreigners.
“This is expected immediately, after that we will begin to vaccinate them,” he said.
The state also has not received any communication from the child’s vaccination center.
There is no information about cave health services that receive other vaccines other than Covishield, which has been given because vaccination begins this year, he said.

“This is the best time to vaccinate, when the case is low,” Betodkar said, speaking in a program in Margao on Monday.
“We approach 100%,” he said, adding that Goa was on his way to become the first country to be fully vaccinated.
