Goa: 438 Covid patients treated in private hospitals benefited under Ddsssy

Panaji: After the government directed all private hospitals to open their doors for Covid-19 patients and carry their treatment under Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojan (DDSSSSY), 483 patients had benefited.
The cost to the government has Rs 2.9 Crore.
On the other hand, their patients or relatives who do not swipe their cards when they enter the hospital or submit their claims after being repatriated, it has ended at the end.
Confirm that the claim is waiting, a health official says that it will be difficult to determine whether those who seek claims now do use their ddssssy card when entering.
While Goa has witnessed a massive increase in Covid-19 cases since mid-April, the government’s order carrying infection under Ddsssy was issued on May 5 and remained valid until June 14.
This makes everything difficult to wear before.
Publishing orders but released or die in May, after being released.
Antonio Cirilo from the Quepem whose wife died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in South Goa had not received one rupee under Ddsssy even though he paid Rs 3.77 lakh Rosmer, in addition to Rs 1.80 lakh for medicine.
“My wife died on May 16, and I borrowed to pay the hospital bill.
Since then my family has approached various authorities looking for replacement,” said Cirilo Toi.
He said that at the time of receipt of his wife, they had asked the hospital authority if they received the Ddssssy card and were told no.
“Because there is no order that includes Covid-19 under Ddssy, the hospital says the card cannot be used.
When my wife died on May 16, we again showed the Ddsssssy card, and the hospital refused to accept it again and we finally paid all bills.
What’s the point of having a Ddsyy card, “he said.
The official said in some cases, the prosecutor demanded objections when the government did not walk all bills when they lived in a room rather than a public ward.
“Some feel that all bills will be paid by the government.
On the order, the government has agreed to pay Rs 8,000 per day due to environmental costs and if a patient is in the ICU in the ventilator, the fixed charge is Rs 19,200 per day,” he said.
Cirilo said his wife was treated in a public ward until his death on the 24th day of hospitalization.
He said that when he approached an officer in the Public Health Department through the Benaulim Mla Churchill Alemoo, a few days ago, he assured that the number of bills for 10 days was calculated in accordance with the level of the government, will be paid to him.
“I haven’t paid it yet,” he added.
