20 days later he resigned from BJP only to join Congress a day later on a low note.
It was Moreno Rebello, a former member of Zilla Panchayat from Curorim and a strong goal for future polls from Curorim, whose ideological trends, however, continued to swing quickly, leaving Congress and BJP, alternately, in a disturbing place.
Rebello was greeted back to Congress on Friday with the Corrorim Party Block President Mileagres Fernandes award.
“I want to strengthen the hands of the Congress.
I made a mistake by joining BJP.
For 20 days at BJP, I saw what it was and I have now come out of it,” Rebello said, overcoming reporters during the induction ceremony at the Office of the South Goa Congress Office.
Asked whether he had promised tickets from Curorim by Congress, Rebello said, “There is no agreement, and I have no hope.
If I get a ticket, I will accept it.
But I am sure to win the election and give a seat to the Congress.” After stopping from BJP On Thursday, Rebello has linked the reason for his move to “too much pressure” from his family and his supporters to leave the party.
“Since I joined BJP, there was too much pressure on me, with supporters I questioned my motives.
I feel weak.
I’m a relieved person,” Rebello said.
With Rebello now back in his fold, the congress tends to nominate it as his candidate from the curorim.
Congress was abandoned in a sad condition after Alexio Reginaldo Lourenco resigned as MLA and left Congress on December 21 and joined the Trinamool Congress.
