Panaji: Without a direct flight from Kerala, Goa International Airport has told all airlines to ensure that tourists from Kerala took flights that connect to comply with the latest travel guidelines imposed by the state government.
The authorities also appealed to passengers from Kerala to comply with the protocol, especially the five-day quittenance period, carefully.
The Goa government has made compulsory quarantine five days for people, especially students and those who come for the need for work from Kerala, after a surge in Covid-19 cases in the southern state.
Students and employees who come from Kerala have to undergo institutional quarantine, while tourists and others who return from Kerala can choose for home quarantine.
“All passengers are asked to undergo orders and follow the same carefully,” said Gagan Malik’s Goa Airport director.
“We have also delivered to the airline to tell the passengers and to be careful that the SOP was followed.” Malik said that the country received very few passengers from Kerala with most of the footsteps originating from Delhi, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh and other metros.
