Goa: Allow students to return, say private schools

PANAJI: The Goa Government acknowledged the Unaided School Association (Agrusa) has submitted a memorandum to the education director and the state education secretary who asked schools to be allowed to get students back on campus.
The private school association has said that they want to continue teaching offline.
Association President Vijay Shetti said that because all the other sectors returned to normal, the same approach must be taken with school.
“We ask your permission to start physical / offline classes and exams (managing social distance / all Covid-19 protocols) for schools, when all countries are made open to all other activities where even children are allowed to participate,” Shetti said .
Former President of the Deepak Khait Association said that children looked hanging out in all other public places, such as malls, parks etc.
were open.
In this scenario, only schools cannot be treated differently, he said.
