Panaji: While Tiswadi Mamlatdar has fixed December 21 as a date to hold auction to dispose of the gate in Tiswadi, a group of farmers from Azossim and the nearest area has decided to keep auction in delay due to four violations to Bundh Village.
Length Internal Bundh 1.5 km managed by the St Mateus Tenants Association (SMTA), Azossim has weakened over the past few months due to heavy rains and massive inflows from major violations of the Domzobund over Cumbharjua Canal.
The meeting was led by the SMTA chairman, Menino Pereira watched a noisy scene for a violation, one of which was a few meters.
Pereira said that the authorities had been told about violations, but it took time to start the repair process.
“There is no access to carrying materials and pipes must be placed on the water body to build a bridge to the Bund,” he said.
The entry of salt water even caused a danger to the KONKAN railway line and inspection has been held to plan repairs to the bund.
The flood rate has increased to a compound wall and a home threshold on the outskirts of the village.
