Goa: Bicholim officials Tracking Increasing levels of rivers

BICHOLIM: Since heavy rain lashed Bicholim taluka about the next evening of this warning appeared by IMD, Goa, the fire services division reported 25 forecasts of trees falling on homes, temples, streets and electrical wires ripping from Sunday until Wednesday evening.
“Rivers have prevailed, however the problem is under control,” explained Bicholim mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit, who’s incharge of their disaster management cell.
He stated the water level of this Bicholim lake was 2.7m while the Valvanti in Sakhali was 2.1m until Wednesday morning.
The threat lineup of the rivers is just 6 meters.
Pandit assured locals there isn’t any need to fear since the disaster management cell was tracking the problem round-the clock.
Presently, while overall losses determined from the flood and emergency officials arrived in almost Rs 6.5 lakh, there are lots of homes that are ruined and the last amount will be known following these losses have been reported.
On Wednesday, many instances of trees crashing in homes were reported at Pilgao and Bordem, resulting in a reduction of approximately Rs 1.3 lakh in these types of areas .
Fire providers’ officials stated they had been getting calls reporting tree drops even as they’re nonetheless draining debris reported Sunday.
There were reports of harm from Mayem, Virdi, Sankhali, Kudnem, Dhumasem along with Menkurem.
