PANAJI: With the Class XII public examinations of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education cancelled, the board is looking at the best methods to tabulate results for the batch of 2021.
The Board has now asked the general public to send in their suggestions to the Board by June 11 on possible criteria to tabulate the results.
Sources said that the Board wants to ensure that an inclusive process is followed and there is little scope later for objections claiming that no views were sought before finalising a marking scheme.
“In view of the uncertain conditions due to Covid and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders, it was decided that Class XII board examination of GBSHSE would not be held this year.
It was also decided that GBSHSE will take steps to compile the results of Class XII students as per a well-defined objective criteria in a timebound manner,” the Board said in its notice.
The Board is in the process of preparing criteria for tabulation of Class XII marks, it said.
“All the general public residing in the state of Goa are requested to provide their valuable suggestions with regard to preparation of well-defined objective criteria for tabulation of Class XII marks.
The suggestions may be sent on sec.gbshse.goa@gmail.com latest by June 11, 2021,” the Goa Board secretary stated in the notice.
Around 19,200 students have registered for Class XII Goa Board public examinations in 2021.
Goa Board officials said that they wanted to give the general public enough opportunity to participate in the process of devising a scheme to tabulate the results.
