Goa can request an e-commerce company to resolve the fleet in 3 years

PANAJI: The state government is likely to mandate companies involved in e-commerce and food delivery to migrate to electric vehicles, and also ask them to shine their fleet faster, for the next two or three years.
This will happen gradually, with 25% of the fleet in the first year, 50% in the second year and 100% in the third year.
It was announced at a webinar held on the promotional policy design of Goa’s electricity mobility on Monday.
City corporation deployed for solid waste management and garbage collection can also be issued in this module.
Subsidies will be given to two, three and four wheels, where all vehicles fall in the category will be borne.
The policy draft was released in July, after which suggestions and objections were invited from the public.
In addition to several people, the Industrial Industry Confederation (CII), Goa, sent advice to the government, which was distributed during the webinar.
Another suggestion adopted is the solution to the customer’s related problems, which have been given a 90 day window.
This will be reduced to 30 days, after suggestions from citizens.
For the benefits of consumers and fast adoption of EV, the government can even ask stakeholders to regulate free test drives with the aim of notifying consumers about technology and profits.
Embracing this policy will change the face of vehicle operations in Goa, because the country takes a successful step towards clean energy.
In addition to public transportation, private vehicle owners will also be able to submit a goodbye bid on two wheels operated fossil fuels, and adopt electric vehicles.
The Goa government intends to change buses in the state to electric vehicles in an effort to reduce carbon emissions.
In addition, the policy design also intends to convert 50% of Goa ferries to electricity in 2025.
Start-ups and investments in the field of electrical mobility and related sectors tend to be involved, in addition to service units and battery repairs where maintenance stations tend to appear.
The state hopes to create 10,000 jobs in this sector in 2025 as a result.
More power charging stations tend to appear throughout the country based on vehicle density from each area, according to advice made at the webinar.
Electrical charger operators will receive payments through several modes such as cash, cards, cellphone wallets and upi.
Based on the advice offered at the webinar by the participants, the policy will be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance for approval, and further steps will be taken for its implementation.
