Goa CM Pramod Sawant Hits in Babus Over Laxity in Cleaning Files

PANAJI: Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant on Saturday crashed into government officials for unnecessary delays in cleaning various files.
Sawant said that even after the file obtained permission from him, officials in several departments only ‘play’ files between themselves.
The ministerial head said that he was aware of the reality of land because he had great experience working in the field and administration as well.
“Some officials have this habit (not cleaning files) and that’s the reason sometimes there is a delay in implementing the decision.
Because of this, I have ordered officials to put some files on the fast lane,” he said.
Sawant’s statement came in the background of various decisions taken by him, including the Ayush doctor, the teachers, contract teachers, among others, were delayed because these files were not cleaned by officials in various departments.
