Goa: CM Pramod Sawant Meets Mobile Network Companies, request to help students

Pinguinim: Following the complaints of poor connectivity so students in remote villages face online lessons, Head of the Minister of Pramod Sawant promised to increase net connectivity in rural areas.
This problem was discussed at the meeting held at Altinho, Panaji, where telecommunications company officers, Canacona Mla Isidore Fernandes and Shiroda Mla Subhash Shirodkar were present.
Fernandes present for discussion during the meeting said that Sawant directed two internet companies to provide network connectivity in all remote areas at the priority basis.
The minister’s chairman also highlighted the difficulties faced by students while attending online classes, said Fernandes.
Officials of the two companies provide telecommunications services agreed to visit and carry out technical assessments in the earliest Shiroda and Cotigao.
Fernandes said that Sawant also told cellular telecommunications officials about the decline in interest rates, taxes to provide cellular telecommunications services in remote areas, while also guaranteeing necessary permits.
Previously, Fernandes had asked telecommunications companies over the past few years to provide cellular connectivity in Cotigao, because Lone’s personal network tower has been cut off.

These students and those who work from home are one of the worst patients and affected during the pandemic, said Isidore.
