PANAJI: CM Pramod Sawant on Tuesday reported the state assembly elections are more most likely to be held on schedule in February next year.
The former meeting elections have been conducted in February 2017.
Sawant, who’d announced that BJP will fight the surveys under his direction, ruled out early elections.
“They’ll be held in time, reluctantly in February,” he told reporters.
Political parties, meanwhile, have begun gearing up to the polls even though the Covid-19 pandemic has put them back in which campaigning is worried.
Aspiring candidates of the majority of parties also have begun asserting for tickets and announcing their candidatures.
BJP national general secretary (company ) B L Santhosh along with Goa workplace in-charge C T Ravi had came at the country a week to take inventory of the political scenario in Goa.
