Panaji: Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant said on Friday that he had ordered an investigation of the suspected PWD recruitment fraud, and to completion, the recruitment process for more than 350 posts would be detained.
Last week, BJP Panaji Mla Stanasio ‘Babush’ Monseratte accused the Minister of PWD Deepak Pauskar “selling the POSTS Engineer”, and said that the recruitment fraud in the department was “worth at least Rs 70 Crore”.
Pauskar has rejected the accusation.
“The three member committees have been formed to ask about this problem,” Sawant said.
“The Committee consists of Secretary of the Chief Secretary of Puneet Kumar Goel, Special Secretary (Alert) Ankita Anand and Director of Waspada.” Until the report is delivered, the recruitment process will be detained.
“Monserrate says that it will take time to conclude the investigation, and recruitment will be jammed because the code of ethics will be implemented immediately.” Questions may not be finished in just 10 days, “Panaji Mla said.
Sawant said that the young man had to trust the decision of the minister’s chairman to order an investigation.
Reacting to claims Pauskar that Monserrate might be angry because the recommended names might not know on the last list, Monserrate said , “Everyone provides recommendations.

Even (the other) 39 MLA must provide recommendations, but that does not mean I have asked him to make it from zero.
