PANAJI: Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant led the Goa Electronics Ltd (GEL) meeting where he urged the government-owned company to focus on citizen services and the submission of government schemes through Goaonline.
The Board also suggested gel to expand its business by taking software development work for other state departments, the Central Government Department and Public Sector business.
During the meeting, gel told the board on the status of the tracking system and management of Bhumija-Ore-and Goaonline.
The Board also approved a proposal to establish a special office for gel in Porerne Industrial Estate for software development activities.
Sawant was told that Goaonline had more than 25 onboard departments with 162 services offered to citizens and commercial entities.
“The minister’s chief emphasizes the requirements for onboard all the remaining departments and their services to this portal to have the integration of the service between the maximum department and share data to facilitate the experience of one single window for citizens,” said a senior official.
Sawant asked the Chief Executive Officer Gel Revati Mazumdar to identify all services, especially citizens-centric, outside Amito Goaonline so that the same thing can be immediately taken online.
During a 45-minute meeting, the company’s financial statements for 2020-21 were also approved.
“He emphasized the scheme management.
There are no schemes that must be made to come to the government office for the application.
There are many upcoming schemes and all must be uploaded on Goaonline,” said an official.
Gel has also taken over the tracking system and ore management, which has helped reduce monthly costs for truck owners from Rs 850 per month to 450 per month.
In addition, with setting up control space monitoring and complete data management will be handled by gel in the Mining Department.
