Panaji: With the inland part of Goa was destroyed because of heavy rainfall and many villages were cut off due to overflowing floods and rivers, Indian coast guards and the Indian Navy were deployed to help state authorities.
The heavy bathroom has disturbed roads and trains and the state government immediately requested air placement and disaster relief assistance from uniformed men.
During the last 24 hours, the Indian coast guard crew flew more than four sorti on the chailable helicopter to assess damage and provide assistance to local residents stranded.
A continued light helicopter from INS Hansa was deployed to Ratnagiri to assist in flood aid operations while other helicopters were sent to Mallapur at Karawa District to save four individuals stranded on the flood water.
The four individuals were flown to Ankola Stadium.
The Navy was also asked to save a family stranded in Gangem, but the family refused to be evacuated because the water level is expected to recede.
Coast Guard rescuer flights are above Dharbandora Taluka and helicopters lower personnel, live jackets and buoys to help search operations and rescue.
The coast guard also distributes relief material, full food packaging and drinking water to local residents stranded.
The coast guard has also gathered a flood response team with rescue equipment and made them standby to help state government institutions.
The search and rescue team of the Indian Navy also remained alert to help local administration.
