Vasco: The first cave, a voluntary organization recently submitted a complaint on the Swachh Bharat portal about the poor condition of the people who were behind the Shafi Mosque in Baina.
Attaching photos of sewers overflowing in front of the housing houses, Parshuram Sonurlekar, representing Goa first, saying people are forced to live in no hygienic conditions.
He said since the complaint was immediately registered in Delhi, the authorities would direct the officials here to take action.
“Houses do not have a waste system.
Also, debris construction of road work and flyovers find the way here.
The water used for domestic purposes remains open.
Residents are exposed to infectious diseases,” Sonurlekar said.
The area, where most migrants live, full of dirt because the waste is thrown in the open.
“So many activities carried out by the civil body as part of Swachh Bharat but here you see the contrast,” he said, adding, “Even though the Mormugao Municipal Board was cleaning the drive, the slum was abandoned.”
