PANAJI: In case the Pramod Sawant-led state authorities proceeds to use photographs of its celebration functionaries on banner outside Covid Enforcement centres throughout the continuing Tika Utsav, comparable photographs should also be employed on death certificates of Covid-19 sufferers, stated Congress on Monday.
Opposition leader Digambar Kamat and say party general secretary Amarnath Panjikar stated that displaying images of BJP office bearers out sourcing centres was nothing but an effort to look for affordable publicity.
“We need that the marketing starving leader minister Pramod Sawant should write to the Prime Minister and BJP state president Sadanand Shet Tanavde should compose to BJP national president P Nadda together with the need that photographs of BJP functionaries have to be shown to the death certificates of the agreeing to Covid-19 and also at each crematorium and burial ground,” explained Panjikar.
Kamat raised strong understanding following banners were set up beyond a Covid vaccination centre using photos of Nadda, Tanavade, Union minister Shripad Naik and Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar.
“Publicity hungry BJP Goa shows banners with photographs of BJP India functionaries and also lotus emblem at Covid vaccination center at Adarsh High School, Margao.
That is a government of Goa programme and also political parties have no right to claim a charge as well.
Collector of South Goa have to behave,” explained Kamat.
South Goa District Congress president Joe Dias has demanded an apology by Tanavade for misusing taxpayers’ cash to find publicity.
