Bicholim: Nine-foot long crocodile was saved by Animal Rescue Forces (ARS) in Bicholim on Thursday morning.
The crocodile was found near Ganesh Idol Immersion Spot located on the running track along the Bicholim River Bank.
The Mugger was seen by several locals who came on the track in the morning.
Employees from the Department of Water Resources are also posted here to continue to check the water level on the Bicholim River.
After receiving information, ARS President Amrut Singh together with other colleagues, Srikant Nesarikar rushed to the place, and after a long struggle managed to ensnare reptiles.
The crocodile was then handed over to the Department of Forest officials.
Singh said that some crocodiles were present in the area, and convinced people that reptiles did not endanger humans.
He also called for the awareness of the crocodile.
