PANAJI: With the level of covid-19 pioneer floating between three and four percent, and with at least four lives missing from the virus every day, the country has not been in a safe zone, said the Head of the Minister of Pramod Sawant when asked whether it was a curfew across the state will be extended , Sawant seems to indicate that the curfew will continue, but with some additional relaxation.
The final decision is likely on Saturday night or week.
“Is the lock to be extended or it will not be known on Saturday,” said the ministerial head.
“People must realize one thing, everything cannot be opened now,” Sawant said while talking to reporters on the sidelines of an event.
“The level of participants is still floating between three and four percent and even now, there are three to four deaths per day.
Because of this, we may have to consider extending the country’s night hours a few more days,” said the ministerial head.
Sawant said that the State Authority will review the situation and see relaxation such as what can be introduced and what will remain in effect next week.
Goa reported 220 new cases on Friday with 17 new hospital care.
Two people lost their lives to Covid-19 while the recovery rate approached 97%.
Cortalim, Ponda and Margao have the highest number of active cases in the state.
