PANAJI: Goa recorded a further decline in the new Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours after 1,387 cases detected from 4,273 tests.
The daily lift level also fell by around 7.5 points to 32.4 while five deaths brought tolls to 3,615.
There were 2,174 recovery because the recovery rate jumped to 90.2% while the active Kaseload also recorded a decline.
On Monday, Goa is close to 19,000 active cases.
In 71, daily hospitalization was relatively higher which was the highest count in the third wave of pandemic.
A total of 38 people were sent home from the hospital.
Of the five mortality reported by the Goa Medical College (GMC) and the hospital, Bambolim, a 60-year-old woman from Querim, who had rheumatic heart disease and was not vaccinated, died four days after she tested positive.
Four men; 85 of the Arpora, 63 of Navelim, 80 of Dodaamarg and 67 of Borda, all with comorbidity ranging from heart disease to chronic kidney disease, die after a week of hospitalization.
On Monday, 2,101 people in the general category were vaccinated and as many as 772 were given with caution doses.
Health services have been vaccinated 58,916 children between the ages of 15 and 18 years, completing 79.62% of its target.
An official said that even though they wanted to resolve the earliest vaccination, the process had “slowed slightly” because the dose was given according to the convenience of the school.
The balance population in this category will vaccinate the latest next month, the officer added.
