Bicholim: Students from Bicholim Taluka answered the online university exam facing discomfort due to frequent power outages.
Parents and students have demanded with the electricity department to cut power only on Sunday by giving a previous shutdown notification.
The Goa University exam is being carried out online in the state.
However, the power outages that are often brought to electrical maintenance jobs taken without intimacy have caused tremendous difficulties for students because they cannot demand their cellphones.
One parent, Vismay Prabhudesai from Lakherem, Bordem said that because of the difficulty in completing their exams because of frequent power outages, students feared academic loss.
Parents demand that the power should not be cut off during the time of inspection and maintenance work, if any, must be done only on Sundays.
Other parents said that there seemed to be a lack of coordination, the awareness that students answered the online exam they needed a power supply without interruption.
