Mining in Goa stopped in March 2018, after the assessment of Pex Court canceled the second update from mining rent.
The state government, through mining companies carried out by the proposed state, is considering opening a new iron ore mine, apart from 88 leases which are subjects to litigation before the Supreme Court.
